About Tammy
Tammy’s first camera was a Minolta SRT 201, a gift from her parents when she was a young teen. They thought it vital to expose their children to the wonders of art and nature, as well as encourage the discipline of pausing to see and appreciate it. Since then, she has enjoyed the challenge of using composition and light to express the beauty of the world around us in both macro and micro views.
Living in coastal South Carolina, Tammy is surrounded by inspiration. Her favorite subjects to shoot include moving water, flowers, pollinator insects, birds, night skies, landscapes, aerospace and architectural elements. Tammy's favorite locations include community gardens and public parks, from the mountains to the sea.
A member of the Carolinas Nature Photographers Association and the Charleston Artist Guild, Tammy continues to hone her craft, stretch her technical skills, and build a portfolio while also being employed full-time in workforce development.
